A couple years ago I was challenged with the idea of what it means to be a leader. I wasn't just challenged with the idea that I was leading, but how the leading affected those that followed and when did it affect them? Does it mean only when I'm around my church friends that it will affect them? When I'm around people that don't know the love of Jesus do I still need to be a leader?
The reason I bring this up is because for some of you reading this, you will be 8th graders and now have a responsibilty as a leader. I believe you are ready and able to lead and most of you know Jesus and want to serve Him, through that you are a leader through your actions and your words.
I was taught once, when you are leading, when you make a proclimation to Christ that you will serve Him. You are now on stage, being watched to see how you act, if it is what Jesus teaches.
So to finish this Blog, I believe that if you really truely believe in Christ, your actions should follow. Your commitment to him is what makes you a leader to those around you, Jesus follower or not.
